Today we implemented a new methodology for creating websites and it is now up and running for all Neosites users!

As we had mentioned in the previous post , this new tool will significantly improve and reduce creation time.

Let’s see how it works:

2)Once your selection is confirmed you will have an example site, with logo, text and images with secondary page suggestions that serves as a model for you to work over. Furthermore, we have implemented a change in our Logo Editor that we are quite proud of: You can nowchoose between creating your own logo as well as using a suggested logo as a model which you can work on top of. This will assure that the esthetic of the site always stays in tact.

3)Once you have fininshed editing your homepage and secondary pages you are ready to publish your site and start promoting it!

Creating a website has never been so easy!

As our users and the Neosites community grows day by day, we received more and more questions that had to do with what category best fit with a particular website. If we want to remain as leaders on website creation, this situation has to change.

Its easy to say that ‘the criticisms and suggestions of our users are always welcome’ but the true challenge is understanding, processing, and implementing this advice in the best way possible. We understand that our list of categories is rather wide and can cause confusion. If we submerge ourselves in creating a website for a transportation company, for example, which would be the category that best suits our needs: institutional, e-commerce, Social? What about a site for a teachers association? Would Social be the most adequate category, or would it be institutional, or maybe should it be personal? Many of our users found themselves confused in this first step. Because of this we have developed a new system that is much faster, extra efficient and considerably more effective. Not only it will allow you to select the most adequate design but also cut down significantly on creation time.

What is the new system of sites by Activity?

Our new system that organizes sites by Activity totally replaces and improves the categories that you have known up until now; Personal, Portfolio, Fun, Social, E-commerce, and Institutional.  You can now select the direction of your site and we will show you what designs come most recommended for the type of site you wish to create. That way if you want to create a site for your business, your accounting office, or your food delivery, we have the design that best fits your needs.

What advantages does it offer?

We know that when you start to create your site you will have many questions. Like what pages to create, what images to show and even how to make a good logo. With this new system you will not have to worry about any of that. When you select your design according to your activity, we present you with a model webpage, a logo, text, images and some suggested pages that will serve you as a guide for configuring your own website. You can work directly on top of our suggestions and everything will remain true to the original theme. Luckily for you, the variety of designs and colors of the site, not to mention the different images that you can use with it, are so wide ranging that you need not worry in the lest that someone will have a web site similar to yours.

Does that mean that I can’t personalize my site?

Of course you can! Our new system is so user friendly that you will be presented with a website ready made for immediate publication, the idea is that you take our suggestions and adapt them to your needs. You will always be able to replace images and text, edit a logo, create and eliminate elements, show and hide secondary pages and give your site the personal touch that it needs.

Our new system will be available very soon, but before the launch, we would like to present it to youfirst, to get to know better. Your first impression and opinions matter to us and it will also help us for see potential problems that may come up during the web creation process.

My tasks will provide you a list of completed and pending tasks so that your site achieves the best performance and looks professional and dynamic. You can see the percentage of completed tasks in order to make the most of all the benefits offered by Neosites.

You can access pending tasks by clicking on the name of each task.

My domains will allow you to access the domain manager and modify the different statuses of your domains. In turn, you can check the availability of different domains that you want to hire and link to your site.

Once you have your personal domain, you can create e-mail accounts such as @yourdomain.com

Email accounts will let you quickly identify if you have received new e-mails and in which account you received them since they will be listed in the E-mail accounts. Newly received e-mails will have a priority. You can access each e-mail account separately and answer and compose your e-mails.
